Who we are

This website is run by Dovevalley Care Ltd, a home care agency based at A G House, Unit 1, A G Business Estate, Lowman Way, Hilton, Derby DE65 5UA. You can write to us at customer@dovevalleycare.co.uk or telephone (01283) 358101.

If you become a client, we will give you a fuller care-record privacy notice. This page is about the website and first enquiries.

What we collect

If you use the enquiry form, we collect the name, telephone number, email address, town, and message you send us, plus whether the care is for you or someone else. We also keep the date and time of the enquiry.

If you telephone or email instead, we keep the details you give us so we can reply.

Homecare enquiry forms do not ask for a full medical history. Please do not send detailed health records there until we have spoken and agreed a safer way to share them.

Every Step self-referrals are different: that form does collect wellbeing and practical information so a coordinator can screen the referral. See the Every Step section below.

Why we use it

We use enquiry details to respond to you, to arrange a visit if you want one, and to keep a short record of what was discussed. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who ask for our help, and — once you ask us to assess or provide care — steps toward a contract.

We do not sell your details, and we do not use them for bulk marketing.

How long we keep it

If an enquiry does not become a service, we keep the message long enough to finish the conversation and then for a short period in case you get back in touch — usually up to 12 months, unless we have a reason to keep it longer (for example a complaint).

If you become a client, care records are kept according to our clinical and legal retention rules, which we will explain in the care agreement.

Who we share it with

Enquiry messages are stored on the system that hosts this website so our office can read them. We do not pass website enquiries to advertisers.

If we provide care, we may need to share relevant information with the carers assigned to you, and with other professionals (GP, social worker, district nurse) when that is necessary for your safety. We will talk that through at the time.

Every Step self-referrals

If you submit an Every Step self-referral, we store the details you send — including contact information, date of birth, reason for taking part, any health or safety notes you choose to give, screening ticks, and your typed signature — in our database so a coordinator can acknowledge the referral and match you with a Volunteer Buddy.

Dovevalley coordinators access referrals through a secured staff login. This information is not sold. It is used only to run the programme, keep you safe, and (with consent) signpost on if needs are beyond Every Step. You have the same rights as for other personal information we hold: email customer@dovevalleycare.co.uk to ask for a copy, a correction, or deletion where the law allows.

Cookies

The public website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. We remember your cookie choice in your browser. The contact page can show a Google Map of our Hilton office; that map is only loaded if you accept cookies, because Google may set its own cookies. You can change your mind by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold, ask us to correct it, and — in many cases — ask us to delete it. You can also object to our using it, or ask us to restrict it.

To do that, email customer@dovevalleycare.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.
